star trek is the most overated sci fi programme ever made, i can only watch british sci fi which has more depth and stronger character potrayals.

@doctorw2 OK, I'll admit that I enjoyed "Blake's 7" and "Sapphire and Steel" (even though neither of those are elements!), and I have a large library of "Dr Who" DVDs, but "Space 1999" was nowhere near as good as "UFO". 

I hope you're watching the new series of Primeval - good stuff.
