Location: Sydney, Australia
Peter Stutchbury Architecture believes that our connection with nature is not just a physical relationship; it exists at all levels of human behaviour. Careful, considered, connected architecture breeds a respect, not just for self, but for the very essence of life and the environment. This is both a conscious and subconscious state of mind. The physical environment is the veil that exists between lifestyle and place; the heavier the veil the less the place. This philosophy led to the development of the winning design for the 3rd International Architecture Competition for Sustainable Housing, a competition of Living Steel (www.livingsteel.org). In this video, Richard Smith and Peter Stutchbury talk about aspects of the design and the approach for its ultimate construction in Cherepovets.
