not at any point did i hear or see any fuel tanks explode................. just another untrained person making an uneducated statement.............

in the case with the air tanks something will release causing the fuel to leak, such as fuel lines. in the air tank scenario the safety valve fails (1:52) which makes the air bleed out instead of exploding like tires would. of all the vehicle fire videos on youtube those that are fully engulfed like this truck typically spill instead of a violent explosion (i believe it can happen, just havent seen it)

what's a turnpike?
genesimmonsguy4307 3 years ago
Hi there kissboy, I'm from Sweden...but I think the name refer to the fact that they collect tolls and that a turnpike (gate) was the way to stop vehicles in the olden days. Initially the gate was to hold in cattle and the poor guy tending to it as was given a tip for his efforts, later this turned in to a money making business.

Well, I guess you could call it a "explosive burn of the fuel tank". After all, you can make just about anything explode if the temperature and pressure is high enough. In the video you can clearly see how high flames reaches when the fuel tank can't withstand the built up pressure.
