On Gossip Girl she plays "Jenny Humphrey". But off the set, Taylor Momsen aspires to be known as the lead singer of the new rock band, "The Pretty Reckless". Momsen sat down with Ralphie backstage at Summer Jam to chat about her musical venture, Perez Hilton, and Gossip Girl.

People say she seems really bratty in interviews. I don't think she's that bratty. I mean, come on! With everybody calling you a poser or a fake everyday, and people asking you the same questions, and underestimating you because you just happen to be a teen actress and singer, wouldn't you be a tad bratty? Won't you get a little pissed? People say that she turned fake, but how do you know? Maybe she just decided it's time to be herself. All I'm saying is, people are too harsh on her.

@leanrun4 When she said this in the interview it was right after they were signed. Hadn't even gone into the studio to record the record. So the songs she wrote were probably the studio demos that have leaked (heart, panic, where did jesus go, sus, void and null, etc). She wasn't talking about the ones on Light Me Up. So my guess is, when they got Mark, Jamie, and Ben, new songs were written, which Ben and Kato helped write also...

@laurenjameson1 WRONG. read the album credits sweetie. NONE of the songs were written by her alone. And until you can produce FACTUAL EVIDENCE of your false claims, don't bother making shit up. She co wrote the album with a professional writer and ben, who has been a professional musician for years. Not a song was written on her own

@leanrun4 Nooooo she started writing that album in 2009 and THEN in 2010 Ben Phillips started helping but its pretty much entirely her album she wrote everything and knows everything abou the song and has done so many interviews explaining in detail what each song means... boom

@leanrun4 I think that at the point that this interview took place, Taylor had written all of the songs by herself that were going to be on the record. However, after being signed, the label wanted her sound to be a bit different I guess so she co-wrote new songs with the band. Those are the songs that are on the album. That's why she used to sing all different songs than the ones on the record.

@beccaboox33 Eh, no. Smoking can ruin your voice but that's not certain. Look at Noel and Liam of Oasis. Liam had the better voice in the start of their success, but over time it deteriorated. Noel smokes just as much if not more and his only got better with age, his voice is brilliant today and he still smokes.

Cut her some slack. Unlike most celebrities (and people in general) who take it up the ass by authority, you pricks should envy her "I don't give a fuck" attitude.
