Why do you need a yes or no answer? Because you know that there was more to the game than just stats?
But yes. It is still a stat. It's just misleading.

I said I was going to be done stirring up SBXL stuff again but I HAVE to ask a yes or no question...and I'd like a yes or no answer:
If a big chunk of rushing yardage comes on a single play, does it still count in the stats?

181 yards didn't mean shit, 75 came on one play leaving you with 106, learn math.

that was a great day, and now us steelers fans have the distinct pleasure of hearing seahawks fans cry about it for years to cum

Hey NorthNileVirus, I have also pointed that out about tons of yds coming on the last mute drive.
The Steelers steped up when they had to in this game, so had a call been different here or there, they would have stepped up again when they had to.

Hey Bigbadben7: NorthNile back again. Not stalking you, but trying to back you like I did on the other thread. I agree w/you (no surprise). In fact, in terms of "bend don't break" and yards allowed: Didn't the Hawks, down by 11, end the game with a nearly meaningless drive, giving them around 40 additional yards. If that is true, then even the total yards don't look overpowering for the Hawks O. As for the Hawks D, you already know where I stand on how yielding 181 rush yards = Super Bowl loss.

I seen all 5 SB Championships, this is part of just "Great Great" memories, with more to come.
I can't believe some Seattle fans are still crying about this game after 2 years. Seattle lost because of dropped balls and time mismanagement, that's the real reason why they lost. Sure the calls were tight, but all but one was still within the rules and the one that was called wrong, the low block by hassleback didn't matter. If they wanted to blame someone, then blame it on the owners meeting before that season when the owners wanted stiffer penalties in place which fucked up the 05 season.
