This is a bass shakuhachi made from Authentic Japanese Madake bamboo that was harvested in Japan. Chikusing translates as Hollow bamboo. These are my Jinashi style instruments made with my method of Spot Tuning to enhance the flute for Dokyoku style shakuhachi in the way I learned it in Japan. I am playing as neutrally as possible to try to show the natural voice of the flute without "milking" for timbre. Any experienced player can use their lips and ears to play more sweet or raspy.
