Just testing out my new camera. Hope it works ok...

For anyone interested, in this clip there are 3 tracks of bass. One is from a Sansamp Bass Driver DI, one is from my Axe Fx and another is a direct bass track. All were blended to create the bass tone you hear.

This track will most likely be used as a song for my band The Icarus Effect.

  • how is the neck on the bass jazz stile or p bass stile

  • @Radar1zone

I would say that it is a bit of both. To me its perfect! Spector basses are the best in the world IMO. Check one if you can. They are so worth it.

  • The bass tone is sick, I really like it. Did you use the Axe-Fx to record the guitar as well? If so, what model did you use for the bass and guitar? Thanks in advance.

  • @vashonothel

Many thanks! I used 3 tracks of bass for this track and the main track was the Axe Fx. The other two are more like just to fill in certain areas and for a bit of grind. The guitar on this were also Axe Fx using my Schecter C1 with EMG 81/85 pickups. I'm pretty sure it was the FAS Modern model for the guitars.

    Thanks again!

  • Thanks for posting this, if it isn't too much trouble you should shoot some more videos as you get more comfortable with the AxeFx and post some of the sounds you develop.

I've got a Spector Rex4 and a Bass PODxt Pro rack unit... my guitarist has the AxeFx, and while I already like my tone, he is definitely on my nuts to get the AxeFx because it has more flexability.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah i have been working on some new videos, but haven't had time to post them yet. Mostly guitar vids at the moment. The AxeFx is awesome! I used a Podxt before i had one for recording, but now i haven't even used my Podxt in i don't know how long...

I haven't used my AxeFx live yet. My live rig is an SWR 750 with a SWR 6X10 cab. I've gotten my ideal bass tones with the AxeFx though. Its great!!! If you can spring for one.....do it :)

  • Hey fellow bassist, great tone man. Just curious as what you have in your Axe patch. I have the AxeFX II sitting in front of me that I just got and have been farting around for a couple days. I remembered hearing your tone way back when I was toying with the idea of getting one and thought it was pretty effin heavy. So do tell, what's in your patch?

  • @D20band thank, I am thinking of buying one so tanks a again for the info

  • sick bass tone man!

  • SPECTORS RULE! Sic tone!

  • awesome tone! its ridiculously good!

is there any chance you would be able to upload the patch?

  • @D20band my wife is gonna kill you ;)

Ha! Seriously though, I've got my eyes on it, and it's just a matter of time before I snap. At this point I'm just looking for reasons to expediate the process.

The transition to live can be a bit of a frustrating process, the guitarist i've referenced too a few months to really get the live sound down, but once he did... sexiest guitar tone I've ever heard!
