The most wonderful love story I've ever seen.
As a hard feminist it reconciles me with male gender.
How a lovely young man is able to reach a sad mature
woman to give her everything. It's like a fairy tale!
Even if he does it just because of a big guilty
feelings that torture him.

Here John Lynch was a young actor
so I guess pretty directed
but he creates an amazing portrait of Cal,
he gives him flesh, bones and breath,
with thousand of small nuances still to discover
after watching the movie some... 100 times?
...and more to come

at this time of economic crisis in ireland this film reminds us just how desperate the situation was back in the eighties in the North. May it never return to this
