  • The unique rasp of the rotary is just superb...

  • Its not surprising it didnt go anywhere, its a 1.8 litre engine but couldnt even compete with 500cc 2 strokes! Its dead end technology now, too many disadvantages and the only minor advantage is the engine is physically quite small.

  • how much RPM?

  • Im wanking to the sound of the Wankels...

  • Man i listen to many engines sounds... but this one is the best for sure.. what sublim and strong sound.. its really magic!! wen i was a kid i tinck many times to me wy i never see a rotary engine bike and it was my dream to make one but i guess Norton made the job for me=)... its unreall the engine spins soo quick that it seams like a 2 strocke engine its just fantastic=)

  • F-----g magic!!!

  • @brznzzy Theyre rotaries. Not piston engines.

  • @roaringwaterbay recently brought this aesome project back to life. brian crighton is the man behind these awesome missiles. while working at norton back in 8? he started toying with a norton police bike and realised it could make massive power. after that, he got the ok to start a race effort and with a crew began building the rc588. spondon built the chassis and micron made the special pipe at 1 point. dymag made the wheels. initially it was aircooled. they were 90% british built. a magic time

  • Seen these beasts at the speed trials in Brighton back in the day,T Nation showed a Lotus Carlton up big style, awesome moment..

  • Yea i know, It`s a running joke i got going with a pal,,
