R.D.Burman was the assistant. The same tune has been given again in Kaise Kahun(1964) where again the Great Jodi is S.D. & R.D.

  • Dear Kataraji the song you requested is already available in audio format on youtube. I don't have the video.

  • It is true that we try to find out the influence of RD on SD's music most of the time. It is probably because he created a totally new style in film music. As we know, Jaidev, N.Dutta or Manna Dey were more conformists and did not create such trendy styles.

  • Thank you suhanegeet. The other songs of this film are already available on youtube.

  • Well R.D.Burman has been assisting his father at least from 1958 (Solva Saal and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi) officially. His influence is visible in songs like Dil ki manzil kuch aisi hi manzil (Tere Ghar ke sanne), Tujhse nazar milanese (Meri surat teri ankhen),Pappa jamarillo(Dr Vidya) etc. He was already inderendent in 1961(Chote Nawab). To me this song also appears to carry his influence.

  • Can you please post other songs of this movie especially aye dil e awara chal?

  • People always talk about Influence of RD on SDB. Why no one talks about influence of OTHER assistants like Jaidev, Manna Dey or N.Dutta. Is it necessary to show RDB as great by giving him credit for songs NOT composed by him?

    THESE RD fans are exsperating.

He is in his place with his OWN creations.

  • Beautiful upload!!Kindly post Mukesh solo " ai dil e awara chal" & two Lata solos " pawan diwanee" and "jani tum to" if you have them.Thanks.

  • This movie was released in 1962, hence the music must have been composed in 1960/61, when RDB would have been just 21-22 yrs old. Hence, the entire credit would go to SD Burman for this beautiful song.
