Lyrics. NOT 100% CORRECT. There were some parts in which it was hard for me to understand him. If you think there's an error in these, tell me :)
I come from the desert where the suns the only hazard
I spend my days wondering why nothing seems to matter
So a boy went to the city, oh. The smarter and the faster
You can date opportunity, it takes cash to undress her
And I met a girl who's a lot like me
Double knotted shoes and wants to live by the sea
She don't talk much and that's ok by me
As long as I can sing about her
Baby walk with me on Sunset Boulevard
We'll watch this devil city fall apart
From the top of this town we could see the streets come crashing down
On Sunset Boulevard
Yeah I'm a hopeful songwriter
Shes a model slash actress
Just writing our vows down on cheap diner napkins
And dreaming out loud about things that'll never happen
It seems so sad if we weren't always laughing
Ive got my name in vending machines(?)
You can have your own
Hell, they're almost free
Or you can stay unknown and that's ok by me
As long as I can sing about you
Baby walk with me on Sunset Boulevard
We'll watch this devil city fall apart
From the top of this town we could see the dreams come crashing down
Fall in love with me on Sunset Boulevard
We'll catch the late parade of broken hearts
Cause we were lost here from the start
That's just who we are
On Sunset Boulevard
Don't let it get you down
There's hope, its all around
Hold on you're almost there
They come from everywhere just to make it here
So walk with me on Sunset Boulevard
We'll watch this devil city fall apart
From the top of this town we could see the dreams come crashing down
Fall in love with me on Sunset Boulevard
We'll catch the late parade of broken hearts
Cause we were lost here from the start
That's just who we are on Sunset Boulevard
It's Sunset Boulevard
Yeah it's Sunset Boulevard
I think the line after "Hell, they're almost free" is "or you can stay UNKNOWN and that's okay by me" because I think it's about becoming, or not becoming, famous. I could be wrong though.
