I attended his ski school in the late 90's, about when he decided he was done skiing and took up golf! Whitey coached me about as much playing golf, ping pong and basketball as he did water skiing. He was fun to be around.
I miss Kenny so much. 13th birthday for California tournament; 16th for Wisconsin; and 18th for Florida. Kenny and Charlie always trying to get me in trouble with Aunt Gracie. Those were my best birthdays ever. Always loved to see him when he came home for a visit; especially the family reunion. He always made time for every one of us. Glad the video is back. I only have pictures. He was one of our sweetst and most beloved cousin ever!
I can't believe he's gone... it's great to have this video to see him flash that big smile. He was bigger than life to those of us hanging on his every word at ski school, even when he was making us do pushups knowing we were hung over! Nicol, he adored you kids! I know you miss him
Not sure who posted this tribute, but I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Yes, Ken was GREAT, and I should know, for I was fortunate enough to be called his daughter. Nicol White. Much Thanks to all of you & for the great memories. I love hearing them all....
This video is amazing. I was fortunate enough to attend his ski camp for over 10 years and I will forever keep Whitey in my heart. As Whitey used to say, "Don't try, just do it!"
Wow Scottt! Thanks, that's a very, very nice tribute to one of our sport's great guys.. Goosebump territory.
I never met Whitey, but I was a 13y.o. kid watching when he won the world tricks crown in Surfers Paradise in 1965; and I can remember walking into a movie theatre and seeing that McCullock ski show newsreel (remember them?).. that you've edited so tastefully (and later the CC one)
Thanks again for restoring a few wonderful memories, and for caring.. appreciated
