this is what a mechanic told me he done to my v8 heads and when i pulled them of later down the track he was full of shit didnt do anything to them dodgy prik.

@User8571 When you run PURE methanol its pretty corrosive. But Would not eat through aluminum in the combustion chamber haha. It only slowly eats through rubber fuel hoses and O rings. As long as you use the correct seal and hoses you have No problem. Most people I know mix it with water and inject it only under boost to raise octane levels and cool the charge air. Almost all new cars flex fuel or not can easily hold e85 without any corrosion problems whatsoever
