HCL in stomach decompose the enzymes like wise. DNA rules this. Pretty much enzymes that the body needs, are synthesized enzymes, which is better since using components "off-the-shelf" in the body could lead to malfunctions since a specific organic compound can exist in different spatial orientations. I.E. sugars in honey can't be used because they are a mirror image of the one the body uses...it's sugar nonetheless.
