The oceans seem so vast, it is easy to assume that nothing we do has any effect on them, but this is far from the truth. Once an oil spill occurs, even the best clean-up efforts cannot prevent extensive damage to humans, the environment, and wildlife. The BP oil spill is the worst in US history and its devastating effects are becoming more and more apparent with each day that passes. But it will be a while before the spill's full economic and environmental impact is known and, in fact, the spill is having different effects on different regions.
The government is us. In this country we have the ability to change the government and according to the declaration of independence we have the responsibility to replace a non responsive government. You might not like the drilling but we the people have the responsibility for the actions of those we elect. Think on this for a while.

Nuclear testing and these spills may be a big part of the sea becoming more empty, year after year.

USA's worst disaster... the world's 3rd largest oil spiil.
Mexico and Middle East have had bigger ones.
Still sucks, though... WE care.
Gov't and BP need to care, too.
