On March 31st, the New York City Council voted in favor of congestion pricing, a plan that would mean that some drivers will have to pay $8 dollars to drive into midtown and lower Manhattan. The plan now goes on to the New York State legislature for final approval. We look at the council vote, the details of the plan, and show host Rafael Pi Roman sits down with Gail Robinson, editor in chief of Gotham Gazette, who has been reporting on the issue.
Why are the Feds so interested in implementing this plan? They don't live here. They know nothing really about Manhattanites..or the outer boroughs. Who killed the Electric Car? Why take more money and get no results? People are still going to HAVE to DRIVE into the city AND when that happens and we still have congestions, how do we REMOVE this system. They promised when they built the bridges..that the tolls would exist until the bridge would be paid off..now how do we get rid of it???

The commute will be better for the RICH! the SOLUTION for cleaner air is ELECTRIC CARS!!! That should be put FIRST. Then a track system for employees to arrive to work..and once congestion is relieved...develop places for people to properly STORE THEIR BIKES!!!! Healthier for the Air for everyone...Even healthier for the people (riding bikes) and not one has to suffer their POCKETS. Never hit an American in the pocket.
