Forget Dan Brown, Alf Garnett had a few theories on jesus himself. From the 1972 Till Death us do Part Christmas special.

  • Quoting Warren Mitchell on talking about playing Alf… ‘We were taking a break from filming and I was sitting down on a bench. An old man passing by recognised me, turned around and said.. “Well done. It’s good to see someone making fun of coons. Bloody lot”…

‘I replied ... I AM not making fun of black people. I am making fun of people like you’.

    Nuff said.

  • @AlfredThwaite But he didn't mean being "racist" he mean't the fact that people were proud and there was no political correctness you thick bastard.

  • I just had a friend tell me "Where's Bethlehem? I thought Jesus was born in Birmingham."

  • @Bsxpk101 The whole idea is taking the piss out of blasphemers, true cockneys are like that

  • @whakawhakapapa yes we are classic, this of course is one of my favorite shows it's awesome

  • fuck this blastphemous shit

  • FAAACTS! FAACTS! lol

  • @AidanLunn To write this off as garbage shows a severe lack of intelligence. America has made some great TV shows, some of the best ever. But often they take British comedy, sanitise it and then deliver watered down to their audience. Take Fawlty Towers for instance. Arguably the greatest comedy shower ever. But the US version was missing the Sibyl character! . Are you seriously suggesting that the US office was better than the UK version? We wouldn't remake and water down 'Friends'.....

  • @bommmmmmmm ..dont waste you breath m8, it wont make any diffence to the do-gooders on here who complain for the sake of complaining!!!

  • I find it ironic that Tony Blair's farther in law played the left wing son in law in this show

  • Alf Garnett a bleeding British legend.....
