Linda Racek, a talented student of mine, in rehearsal (1993) for a Toronto accordion club performance. In 1986 she placed 1st in the world accordion tape competition by playing Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D Minor plus 3 other virtuoso tunes, beating out strong accordion countries like Finland and Poland.... In 1987 she became the Canadian Accordion Champion by practicing up to 4 hours a day. When I said to Linda, lets go for the world champion by practicing at least 6 hours a day, she said, Canada is good enough.
