The Lyme Bay BW Field Trials were conducted in public areas of southern England by military scientists from the Microbiological Research Establishment, Porton Down. They involved the dissemination, from a ship, of massive aerosols of two types of live bacteria: E.coli MRE162 and Bacillus globigii. These particular Cold War experiments were conducted during the years 1963-1975. In 1971 and 1975, military scientists from the US Army and US Navy assisted MRE Porton Down in the conduct of these public area BW experiments.

Shit, BG is a human pathogen. Better live my life in a bubble then as it is over every surface in my home, work place, places of recreation. My lungs are probably full of it already. You ever smoked in your life? Because if you have you are at more risk of dying than if you breathed in any of the bio strains you mentioned.

The two main types of live bacteria which were sprayed during this period were:
E.coli MRE162 and Bacillus subtilis var niger (also known as Bacillus globigii or BG).
An independent health review, commissioned in 1999 by the MOD, found that E.coli could have caused blood infections (sepsis) or chest infections in vulnerable people. Dr William Page of the US Institute of Medicine has gone on record by stating that BG is considered a human pathogen.
