for 2 years i avoided this movie like the plauge, i thought " tom cruise playing a samurai....wtf is that crap!?" then i watched it..Mind Official Blown. that was 2005, its now 2012 and it is still my favorite movie of all time since i first watched it

the immaculate sacrifice they made. none of us would care. War is horrible but very necessary to remind us of how short and precious life is. Without war we would follow the majority of american society today and bask in our filth and feelings of superiority to a whole new level. War tips the balance into peace. But each generation must learn its lesson of the frailty of life through this and the ability to create peace would not be realized without war.

a lot of people in here are talking about we need peace. As much as I hate to admit it, peace only lasts for so long because it leads to polluted ideals and corrupted minds feeling they wont feel the wrath of vengeance or pain. The reason we are all listening to this song and watched this movie and enjoy it is because we recognize the sense of honor, pride and nobleness of the samurai and the way they were portrayed in this move specifically.
