Fall 2010, ARCH 701 Final Project
Project Name: 'Converge'
Team Members: Danny Luegering/Christina Marconi
Instructor: Matthias Hollwich
Situated at 34th and Walnut, 'Converge' is an elderly living complex which seeks to immerse older residents into a dynamic, urban environment for the sake of promoting social interaction and physical activity. The project centers on a network of inconvenient circulation patterns to guide residents through floors of various public and private program, including a dynamic exhibition space, public auditorium, semi-private recreation space, and private dwellings. By inviting young residents to live in the complex, 'Converge' encourages interaction between inhabitants of all ages.
This video is well done and so professional! The design is very innovative and unique. I would love to live in such a creative place when I'm elderly! Awesome job.
