  • @0Oclockmusic He was using "Government Rule" as one extreme and "Mob Rule" as the other, "Rule by the people" would be that middle ground he was going for. I know it can be hard sometimes, but if you listen to the words being said it can get easier. As far as the Second Amendment goes, that's the right that allows for "Rule by the people". If the government has all the guns, and we don't, we have no rights. We have whatever they let us have, which will be jack shit.

  • haha on every single dennis miller vid theres some unoriginal asshole saying that same joke"...whats a rant" and if i were to answer that id have to say"...you're a douche."

  • Basically, if you're a extremist of either side of the political/religious spectrum. You're missing out on a lot of opportunities to enlighten yourself and broaden your horizons. But, as Dennis would say, "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.".

  • Coming from a person who toes the line between conservative and liberal values, I've got to say that I'm a fan of both Bill Maher and Dennis Miller. I don't agree with everything either of them say about politics, religion, etc. Though, I appreciate the fact that they both put things like that to light for us to think about and try to come to a rational decision ourselves, based on our own common sense and morality.

  • This man is a hater and I hate him.

  • There are twice as many Conservatives as Libs in USA, but Libs Yell Louder & Nastier, because they are Wrong!

  • @frackle123 Tolerant? He spouts the same garbage as they all do--the flag-wavers--about how 'they hate us for our freedom', which is rubbish.

  • @heatbucspies55 I do think he can be funny but he's lost that edge since he opened up as a conservative. He just has a smug tone that I cannot get around. People say Bill Maher is smug, but Miller has him beat. If he just stuck to comedy, maybe I'd laugh at what he has to say; otherwise, he just seems to be treading water. It's also very easy to make the converted laugh--conservative or liberal.

  • @bartonim

Were you listening to the audience? That joke and the whole rant killed, and I happened to find it really funny.

Unlike a lot of other serious/political comedians, who just say their opinion and the audience gives a cheer or applause because they agree, he actually makes people crack up and is funny about it.

Just because you don't like his politics or you didn't personally find it funny doesn't mean he has no comedic skill. Quite the opposite, actually.

  • I think he makes every other person who trie to combine politics and comedy seem a little amateurish.

  • Sorry, Dennis, your enemies do not hate your diversity and, erm, freedom. They hate it when your country bombs the daylights out of their country. Oh, and that joke about kids in Taiwan making your flags? Not at all funny. You lost your comic skil once you sold your soul to neo-conservatism.

  • Dennis Miller: the Conservative George Carlin!

Shame he seems to have put the "I don't wanna go off on a RANT here..." routine behind him. *sigh*
