A Fan's Reaction To The Half-Blood Prince Date Switch

We're all still recovering from WB's latest attempt to earn fandom wrath, but really we shouldn't be at all surprised: they foreshadowed this date-change in previous movies/trailers...haha ^_^

Personally I'm really upset about it because I think a release date should not just be changed whenever they feel like it. Whether they're moving it forwards or backwards, they're still sending the fans a very clear message: they don't care about us, they do it all for the money.

I'm half excited that its sooner, and half mad they decided to move it again. Are they trying to anger the fans, or are they just so good they don't even have to try? At least we get the cast for the Epilogue. It's the only reason I haven't completely lost it yet.

Yeah the trailer made me no longer mad at them (because it was SO good!!) and same with the Epilogue news (although I was surprised to hear MuggleCast wasn't that excited).  WB is annoying, but HBP is going to be absolutely amazing!

It's not cancelled it just won't be as cool b/c everyone will be watching it for the second time (instead of the first) together.

I'll be out of school for the summer (although, I "might" have a job by then) so I might have an issue too. Plus it's always a bad idea to switch dates over and over. And does WB really think their movie is so bad that it won't be able to compete with others and therefore needs a headstart? Seriously, what does this say about the quality of the movie? Oh no!

i love that the date has been moved foreward but that means two less days for me to finish my scarf:( i absolutely love the new trailer for the movie it looks like they are keeping it close to the book im going to cry iin the movie for sure i cried while reading the book
