Where do you think they get the energy to drive the electrolysis? They burn fossil fuels.

I wasn't talking about electrolysis, but about obtaining H from reactions between metals such as gallium and aluminum.

u can make hyrdogen out of h2o and electricity, they do it in iceland.

Not on board of the car: faraday's law of electrolysis, ie always needs more electricity than the amount necessary to just move the motor if you connect it directly to the battery.
