Performed here by Ian Howell, Countertenor, and Seattle Baroque Orchestra.

Translation:
Make me bear the death of Christ,
make me sharer in His passion,
meditating upon His wounds,
make me be afflicted with those wounds
and intoxicated with this Cross
for love of Your Son.

  • This is a very good version of the Fac ut portem :

    - the orchestra is excellent

    - the voice of Ian Howell is awesome and his technique too

    I think his interpretation of the last vocalise with the high note in a good idea.

    But... In my opinion the accentuation of Chris-TI MO-rtem is too loud... too much. What a pity because the rest is excellent.

    Without is point it would be my favourite version with Sara Mingardo's one.
