The car was upside down in the pitch black and she had no idea where she was. She was found in the back of the car grasping onto the rear seat with her head tilted upward which was toward the floor of the car, as if to try and breath a small pocket of air. There is speculation she may have lived as long as an hour and suffocated rather than drowned. No autopsy was ever done and the Kennedy machine did all they could to cover this up.
