First part (of five) of the 2006 documentary The God Delusion. Biologist and professor Richard Dawkins explores the unproven beliefs that are treated as factual by many religions and the extremes to which some followers have taken them.
Dawkins argues that the process of non-thinking called faith is not a way of understanding the world, but instead stands in fundamental opposition to modern science and the scientific method, and is divisive and dangerous.
Ahh yes. Religion=mass hysteria.

I'm an atheist at a Catholic university (oh the irony) and I love every minute of this video. I just want to note at how interesting and often disturbing how it is looking at religion from the inside as an "outsider". Religion and science can't go hand in hand, but reason can always be used. Science isn't out to disprove religion, and it's also not here to find proof. I have respect for any religious person that can intelligently explain the basis for his or her beliefs.

09:09 turning untested belief into unshakable truth through the power of institutions and the passage of time. Untested: Primordial ooze. Unproven: missink links( wherwe are all of them?) institution: our schools. Faith : in everything Dawkins claims. look at Miller's experiment.

6:06 :D Dirty water won't cure baldness. Hair transplant would help though, but why would you trust something that isn't Jesus?...

@DjCosmicRush I swear, your comments ARE impulses! You have no structure in what you're saying. It's just rubbish with you. First, I'm 'unintelligent', then I'm 'impulsive', then I'm an 'extremist', now YOU'RE 'joking'? You think YOU don't understand.

@Sunky4u You went on about "logic". I pointed out that this logic was full of holes. You then said that logic was not empirical evidence. That *is* a shifting of the goalposts. And it is by you.
