  • THANK you so much!!!

  • Great thanks

  • Thanks -- your instructions made an intimidating project very "do-able." Now my iBook G4 is up and running like new. The only unexpectedly tough part was unscrewing/rescrewing the four mounting screws on the hard drive itself. I didn't have the correct "star-tip" screwdriver, and the things were screwed in so tightly that pliers didn't work, but a tech at Best Buy helped me out. So to anyone contemplating doing this, have the right tool on hand, or the final step will be the most frustrating!

  • just looked at imac all you had to do was remove battery and connector bar pull out tab and remove hdd to replace just reverse what you have just done.

  • Thank you for this wonderful video! Helped a lot as a part of my training! I repair and rebuild computers (very odd for a high schooler), and I had no idea that it would be that complicated. Yes, I agree with people that the iBook line both G3 and G4 had the worst design for hard drive replacements. I guess it was Apple's way to keep people out of the computer and only Apple Tech's can get into it.

  • OMG, I gave up halfway thru, I upgraded the hard-drive on my Macbook, no problems, but this is ridiculous, Id rather pay someone to deal with this, HUGE pain in the ass

  • @DKassaian1219 Not sure why no one answered ur question, but yes, because u are going from a PC to Mac ur gonna have to reformat, its not even gonna recognize the harddrive until you do

  • @DKassaian1219 yes it will , and you will need to re-install Mac OS X

  • RIDICULOUS. To remove the hard drive from almost ANY other notebook computer, one, maybe two screws.

    Apples are junk.
