Decent review, man. But a few tips: Prop the camera on a tripod, table, etc. and use better lighting. But aside that, the review's really interesting.

I just use a power adapter. It's just as portable as using batteries (only you need an electrical outlet.

Imagine if you could plug in a 32x and CD, it would barley be a portable system

Nowadays who needs handheld systems such as gamegear, nomad, lynx, ngpc,ds,al
l of these have emulators and they run good as real systems,if you have small notebooks you are sorted. Myself i have 5.6 screen which no handheld has ever got to not even dsi xl only 4.2 screen size.
Notebooks don't only play pc games and emulators you can use internet and use programs because they are full pc in the hand,so they are much advance than handheld systems plus pandora console looks good.

I had to get a battery holder on ebay after I bought mine because it didn't have it. As far as I know when they were originally being sold they came with the battery holder-but some people have lost them, or gotten rid of them because they just used a car adapter.
I use rechargable batteries in my Nomad and they last about 4 hours I'd say. However, once they're dead, it takes about ten to twelve hours to recharge them, so you'll have a lot of down time providing you don't have an ac adapter for a Genesis model 2 that fits into the Nomad.

I have enough rechargeable batteries to have extras on hand for when it dies. How do I have so many? well I have many other electronic devices (including my wireless mouse) so naturally I've gotten more over the years

how long the battery last

Not very long it's about as long as a PSP (without any extended battery) which really isn't saying much :)
