Was popular here in New Zealand back in the day and a favourite of my older sister.
Great melody and strong vocals.

Finally have found someone who has this song. Been looking for it about a year now as it was one of my favs way back in the days...70's. Have always loved it and now can share it with my children and grands. Kia ora koe..

Love this song.. Remember it from a disco in Palmerston North 1971. It's been so hard to track down because there's other songs with the same title around the same time. Yay. Thanks for posting.

I forgot all about this song until I found an old cassette tape-- I had recorded this from the radio back then! The tape leaves much to be desired, so I searched and here it is. Thank you,

The marae is Houngarea, situated in Paki-Paki 8km's south of Hasting's. It's only a blink on the map, but has the distinction of having 4 marae situated close together. If your ever travelling down to wellington or going up to auckland, swing on thru and take a gander at the 4 marae here.
