A Skeptic's Belief in Chi - A Graphic Demonstration

@seven5678 Ah, but it is about chi, because chi is really nothing more than an innocent belief. It's there because you want to believe it's there, just like my children. No properly blinded studies have ever demonstrated it's existence, and the alleged "knowledge" of chi was born of folklore. It simply outlive Zeus and Achilles, but the roots are essentially the same. - human fantasy.

I believe chi is real. On a different note, I was playing a game with my 1.5yr old nephew (on a soft surface) where I blew on him and he would fall over backwards. I was not using chi, he simply enjoyed falling backwards, so much so that he would not always wait to be 'knocked' over by my breath and fall backward as soon as he got up. It's actually a fun feeling.

This is a perfect demo!
Only children beileve this stuff and it only works on them. Awesome use of irony. Props.

I call you to reason man! Youre blinded by cuteness! Why is this vid convincing and not any of the other chi videos? Because this vid is more adorable! Your reason wouldn't be so short-circuited if those two paid actors weren't wearing those toddler costumes.
Clearly, they are two sasquaches dressed as humans! Or at least the taller one is a sasquatch. The shorter one could be an alien.

Great chi video. However, the child could negate it by having one toe up and one toe down and then reversing his toe positioning on each subsequent attempt.

That is really fucking cute.

@UncaYimmy There are people (mostly Indian/Asian) who can light paper on fire by holding their hands around it and concentrating in the correct fashion. Chi does exist, but not like you think. I've healed an ulcer of mine in less than 48 hours by inducing chills down my spine. When you feel chills anywhere in the body, unless induced by the cold, harness them and use the vital energy to heal yourself. Imagine a chill flowing over the spot that ails you and that's the technique mostly.
The only way you would be convinced is if it was performed on you? No video on youtube would make you think otherwise?

@TMarche Videos on YouTube are not evidence. Is my video evidence of Chi? It offers no more substance than any of the other videos I've seen demonstrating a knock-down or knock-out chi. I offer that it is nothing more than the power of suggestion to willing subjects. If you think it works, visit Randi.org and apply for the $1M Challenge. Prove it under controlled conditions, and I'll accept the results. That's fair, isn't it?

@UncaYimmy well i shall clarify. aside from knocking someone down or knockikng them out what about chi experiments, such as setting things on fire using chi or moving objects from a distance. obviously anyone can edit a video in their home and make it seem like real chi but i have seen videos on yuotube that display these expierements and seem real enough and couldnt have been edited or manipulated in anyway. would you like to see these videos?

@TMarche There are no demonstrations under controlled conditions. There is no peer reviewed scientific evidence. Chi would be a huge breakthrough in scientific world, but physicists laugh it off. Why? Because these videos you see are nothing more than street magic. It's not "evidence" then magicians can duplicate the feats. Why crumple and touch newspaper? Why not make a mercury thermometer rise? Visit randi.org and search the forums for explanations.

im so sick of parents who post this crap.... your kids are only funny to you and no one else wants to get caught up watching this shit when we think it might be something good

@Tvirus444 - I am sorry that the seriousness of my video has escaped you. Every demonstration I have ever seen of chi is virtually no different than mine. Students fall because that's what's expected. I live in Phoenix and challenge anyone to negotiate a valid demonstration of chi with me as the subject. Wishful thinking about folklore has no real power, and it's up to proponents to prove such a power exists. No such proof exists.
