    Start your game and set it to windowed mode (i.e. not full screen). Alt-tab out of your game, and open Camtasia Recorder. Resize the capture region to fit inside of the game window, and press the red record button. Alt-tab (or click back) to your game, and start playing. When you're done, just alt-tab back out, stop the recording, and then edit/produce the video.

    Sometimes, games are designed in such a way that Camtasia Recorder is blocked from being able to "see" the game when it is in full-screen mode. In general, if you set your game to windowed mode (even if the resolution is set large enough to take up most of the screen), Camtasia Recorder should then be able to record the game.

    Open Camtasia Studio 8, then look for the option where it says 'More' in the editing tools tray. Choose 'Cursor Effects', then look for the option to disable cursor :)
