This is a T gauge Japanese Model Railway layout which attended the Model Railway Exhibition at the East Of England Showground in Peterborough on the 17th and 18th of October 2009. I attended the exhibition on the 17th and this layout is very interesting as the model trains are scaled to 1:400 and T Gauge is the smallest modelling gauge in the world. The stall owner informed me that a Shinkansen and another type of train is being produced in this scale to expand the range and choice of trains. If you want to know and learn more about this new T gauge scale, take a look at http://www.tgauge.co.uk for more information. The trains on this layout are the Series 103 EMU's which the orange unit is the Osaka Loop Line, The blue unit is the Tohoku-Keihin line and the green unit is the Kansai line unit. All of the T gauge items are made in Japan by Eishindo.

  • Going very fast.

  • @Daikenboy: Yes it was a bit fast mate.

  • this was at the nec

    love it

  • @MantisRhodesB: Thats cool, if I am correct. T Gauge can be used in conjunction with the Gemini Jets Airport and planes as they are about the same scale I think.

  • @atifrc: I think it is mate.

  • @thelolmachine27: Now that would be fun!

  • Try fitting DCC Sound to one!

  • @Trainbrain1949: As far as I know, Eishido which makes the T gauge range is mainly sold within Japan. But there is a dealer in Scotland that works with Eishido that has recently brought out a UK Deltic Diesel and a HST which sound interesting. Would be cool if they bring out some Class 60's in this scale as I might to tempted to build a portable layout to take to shows.

  • @trainzeiro: They were whizzing about abit mate but this was at an exhibition so I guess they have to make it interesting for all modellers.

  • @atifrc: I think it could be mate. I know its compatible with the Gemini Jets planes if one was to build an Airport in the T gauge scale.

  • @EWS60008 its 1:450 isnt it?
