  • Ratios are fucking stupid...

  • @0ptimus01 Thanks for you concern regarding the gear ratio. They are actually needed to achieve the same retrieve rate as other reels in the marketplace. The Revo MGX is so much more compact than anything else out there we raised the ratios to achieve a similar inches per turn retrieve rate as other Revos. The hight speed Revo MGX 7.9:1 ratio pulls in 31 inches per turn which is similar to a 7.1:1 Revo STX. The MGX's 7.1:1 gear ratio actually gets a similar IPT to 6.4:1 Revos.

  • Do you know how much shakespeare bait cast reels usualy weigh. Because thats what i got. And if its alot, i might cobsider buying this new rod of yours

  • @illusionistpg13 You could visit the website to compare the model you have. The MGX is the lightest low profile ever made at 5.4 ounces.

  • which rod is that the villain?

  • @CBbassin Hi, YouTube doesn't allow us to post a direct link but visit the Abu Garcia website and click on rods. The Villain is available in the left hand menu navigation from there. You can see all the specs for the rod on the website. Thanks!

  • I'd like to try some of the new garica reels but just can't justify blowing money since all my 30 to 40 year old garcia reels still throw like new, and parts still available cheep "IF" I need them. Nice reels tho.

  • @CBbassin its the Verdict

  • for the money which is a better reel Revo SX or Revo STX or Curado?

  • Love my revo, but still have the bar to get spool access.......abu need a better faster way to open the side , i was hoping abu would learn from Shimano quick spool access
