My friend John McElyea committed suicide this past April. He was an amazing person, a brilliant musician, and a great friend -this song is for him.

A few years ago, I had a friend who was suicidal. He went through chronic depression as a result of his parents getting divorced. He had a mom who was a crazy fundamentalist, and that couldn't have helped. I watched him suck himself into a vaccum, and one day, he told me he was suicidal.
