This is another favorite version of this song that I wanted to share.I posted one by Gene Autry and one by The Cones Sisters last year. This was recorded in 1952 on RCA Victor 4988,and had as the flip side "Christmas Will Be Here".The Beaver Valley Sweethearts are Colleen and Donna Wilson, and first sang with The Pinetoppers on "Mockin' Bird Hill".They Girls sound wonderfuIl and add to the fullness of the music. It has been said that Elton Britt sounded a little like Gene Autry, and I think that he does. These two wonderful singers recorded several songs togeather, such as The Rovin' Gambler,The Tale A Sailor Told etc.I tried to find just the right pictures to add to the Texas feel.I hope that you enjoy it.The Beaver Valley Sweethearts are listed on the flip side of this record "Christmas Will Be Here",and sing a duet with Elton Britt. They can barely be heard as his voice is so strong. Next to each record is which side I like (A, B, or Both), whcih doesn't mean that the other side is not good.
