True that Mohanlal is a legend!! But in this film I couldn't see Ajith perform badly or overdo any expression or anything of sorts... (I am NOT comparing Ajith with Mohanlal. Such a comparison will be baseless....!!! Lalettan is beyond comparison!!) Atleast for me, Ajith did perform well :)

the original malayalam version ran for years in kerala. mohanlal who did the original got natioanl award (i think) anyway, this is a different market and the theme didnt work. the father's character was played equally well in tamil but the main character is beyond ajith.
