Uncharted 2 Multiplayer - Mysterious revival?

Seems I always run into semi-helpful glitches no matter what I play. The game version was 1.07.514 at the time this was recorded.

The glitch in question comes from my throwing a grenade by accident at a downed teammate. I was warned a shield user was down there with her (headset audio wasn't recorded because I don't know how to record my own speech at the same time), and when I went onto the rail to prepare my attack so I wouldn't die making the save, an RPG telegraphed its attempt to blast me ("Hit the deck!"), causing me to reflexively roll back to safety... and release the L2 button without canceling the grenade first.

The confusing part is that bombing her caused her to be instantly revived.

If I may pose a theory as to why this happened, I suspect her screen turned back to color from black and white (the sign that you've regained your health) before the grenade exploded, and the damage caused wasn't enough for an instant kill as a result (it was lobbed at the riot shield jerk), BUT it was close enough to stun her a little (she was just in the blast radius, but not a direct target). That caused her to move, which must have tricked the game into thinking she was no longer downed. I don't think the color coming back prior to revival or death is supposed to happen either, but I've had it occur more than once.

An RPG would probably work as well. Rocket-Propelled Defibrillator, anyone? :D

(I'd hesitate to post an online game glitch normally, but there are enough faults and limitations on this particular bug that I can't see it being heavily abused by anyone, and that's IF it works reliably; it's a curiosity, nothing more.)

OMG Thats crazy man!! Thats very interesting.. HAHAHA Hey was it easy to get the gameplay? Cause I got some glitches and things I found out how to do just don't know how to get them off the ps3 and onto the computer

Yeah, my current setup simply involves splitting the video signal to a DVD burner from my VCR, the latter of which I use to see the game (my burner has a small lag that makes playing action games frustrating otherwise). This movie was "ripped" from the disc by playing the DVD on my laptop with VLC media player, using its recording feature (Shift+R) to make the clip.

It doesn't make the highest quality clips, but it gets the job done. All of the cables used were composite though, no HDMI. :(

haha! That happened to me once, I was playing with a friend and when the grenade revived him, he was like "what the hell?!" It was pretty amusing :)

is it just me or did it look like he never killed anyone but got points for killing his teammate but she was revived... in other words it is cool how it seems he gets points for reviving his teammate (the money sound when you kill an enemy played when she was revived)

That happened to me too, my friend intended to kill me though but I got revived.
