Hama- A Bloodshed Revolution Despite the Will of the Executioner
Posted by abeer on January 25th, 2012
For several days, the Syrian regime's forces have been attacking the city of Hama and its various towns and villages in the continuing repression policy the regime have decided to use since 11 moths in all areas of the country.
Hama sacrificed tens of thousands of lives during the regime's massacres in the 80's, and it continues to give sacrifices in this Revolution of Dignity that reached about a thousand martyrs.
Since the beginning of the Revolution, in March 2011, Hama was one of the first cities to participate in the demonstrations in solidarity with the people of Daraa. On June 3, named the Friday of "Children of Freedom", Hama paid a heavy price for calling for freedom, dozens of martyrs and Local Coordination Committees in Syria were able to document 66 names.
Hama has witnessed some of the biggest demonstrations during the revolution, nearly six hundred thousand people gathered in Asi Square, in the ancient city center, before the regime decided to obliterate the city in August 2011, during the first days of Ramadan, the regime's forces stormed the city with tanks and armored vehicles and Hama lost hundreds of its people under the regime's brutality. However, the protests did not stop.
In 2012, Hama sacrificed the first martyr of the New Year, minutes after it began. Since the beginning of the revolution, Hama has lost 953 citizens (documented), including 21 women, 53 little boys, 16 little girls, and 33 that were martyred under tortureحرار عربين بعد دحر الجيش الحر لقوات الاسد 25 1 2012 ج4 ‎ سوريا الى التحري
