Me playing Gojira's "Embrace The World" off the album "The Link". Amazing song, really fun to play! No tabs used - Figured it out by ear.

Equipment used:

Jackosn King-V KV2
Peavey 5150 Head
Marshall AVT50 speaker as a temporary cab
Digitech RPx400 (used the pitch shifter effect for d-standard tuning)

Sorry for the mistakes, dont forget to check out my other vids (including more gojira vids), and subscribe!

ENJOY! \m/

  • Hi,

    very good sound !

does the D standard tuning from the pitch shifter sound naturally in real life ?

when you go lower ( B Standard ...), does it sound then kind of artificial / digital ?

    Thanks

  • @MurphyJ83 its alright in D, not the most natural really, but it was alright for my purposes, it gets much worse the more you change the tuning, gets much more artificial sounding. I dont use that pedal anymore though, moved on to the axefx which has a much better pitch shifter if needed!

  • nice man! When I cover these songs I do my tremelo picking with my whole arm... And that hurts after a while.. Got some tips for me?

Sorry for my bad english ^^

    chears from holland

  • @TheWezel1995 Try using less of your whole arm and make it more of a wrist movement. And practice with a metronome, tremolo picking in time for as long as you can hold it, then when you're good at that tempo make it faster. Try that out!

    Good luck man!

  • I'm feeling sick... the only prescription is MORE GOJIRA!!

  • HAHA I think i might do another gojira sometime soon if i have the time!

  • Every Gojira song is in D standard except Vacuity, Toxic Garbage Island, and Adoration For None are in Drop C. The Art of Dying and the song The Way of All Flesh are in a tuning Joe made up which is low to high - C , G , C , D# , G , C.

  • Is this in d or drop c? If anyone know the tabs for this one don't hesitate to send a message to me :)

  • Thanks for the fast reaction man,

Going to try it the following days.
