Retired Navy Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Jim Castaneda inspired on the cycling course on the opening competition day of the 2012 Warrior Games presented by Deloitte, held at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Although his tire blew out after the first turn of the course, he continued to push to the finish line, proving that not all victories come with gold medals. He was embraced by teammates as he completed his lap.
