the beauty i always find is that no matter how mystical and far out the teachings from acim seem at first glance, they soon connect with our common sense, and bring up a moment of clarity in which we say: 'why oh why did i not see this before?'

@karenKristal absolutely..... Reading the lesson ... "My Salvation comes from My Self" is one thing but to use it during moments of temptation & fear is where the rubber meets the road. You MUST apply the principles in order for faith, trust to grow. The evidence & power of the miracle is born only through it's use...

I've heard objections to Marianne as a person and her interpretation of the The Course, but the Course itself, in practice, is one of the most rigorous paths to Atonement/Christ that I have ever come across. Your basic Church practice is kindergarten comparatively - though that can be challenging as well.
