Thank you for your generosity in both teaching drums and grace in dealing with one's critics.

HA HA Dr Bop, you rule, dude! This is a GREAT vid, and I learned a terrific take on this groove - thanks. The reason I say "HA HA" is for your responses to the knuckleheads that are dumping on the vid or the sound of your kit. Priceless. Keep up the good work my friend.

I can't believe you guys! This man knows how to teach drums and should be applauded.
drBOP, just ignore the trolls. Your material speaks for itself.

Thanks for sharing this and keeping Max's playing spirit alive . Best of luck ...

Hey, I dig what your doing, but! I think you have the tom pattern backwards, but It's still a cool way to do St Thomas.

Dr. B0P you've cured my incapacity!
I had no clue what kind of groove to play for St.Thomas in my school jazz band. You got some ideas goin in my head that I can improvise upon. Thanks dude.

Dr.B0P you should go back to the original recording and play along with max. You will realize you are wrong. All drummers please don't learn this groove it isn't entirely correct.

Hey thanks for the comment. I am glad that you have taken the time and effort to watch. Utube is a great platform for sharing ideas. However you have not advanced our knowledge with your comment. I welcome and will gladly accept any video response showing revisions or corrections. In the meantime I am certain that intelligent people will do their own listening and thinking.
I look forward to your video corrections.
Keep swinging Dr.B

Thank you so much for your valuable and insightful comment on the content of my video. I value all comments and this example sure contextualizes the notion of cultural identity in a paradigm of contemporary jazz music in
1950's America better than most. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
