Not only is Hough's recording extremely delicate and beautiful, the sleeve note (that he wrote himself) makes an absorbing reading too. Hyperion often let the musicians themselves write the sleeve notes, and these always turn out very interesting and informative.

This is one of the more erotic pieces. It sound deceptively simple, but it is really all about tension between the hands and the control of speed and volume. it is like watching a courtship.
