This is a staged reading of Emmett Loverde's play "Sensitivity, USA" that took place in 2005 in Santa Monica, California.

A disillusioned teenager (Jason Thompson) tries to expose the shallowness of his classmates by interviewing the most popular girl in his small-town high school (Elena Nardini). But shes not as crass as she first seems, and hes not the bundle of sensitivity he thinks he is. And when chemistry kicks in its a surprise to them both so they do what any normal teenager would: fight it.

This play was later made into a short film called "The Truth About Me" which was shown at the 2009 Myrtle Beach Film Festival and the 2009 Poppy Jasper Film Festival.

Please note that in staged readings the actors have had limited rehearsal and read their part from scripts they hold in their hands. Lighting, sets, and props are minimal.
