Language is a form of technology. Language is the tool for identifying what is economically sacred in a particular culture. For sacred language to be applied to industrial technology and ideology is no different fundamentally than to apply sacred language to agrarian technology and ideology or primitive technology and ideology.

"When I say that I “despise technology,” I should perhaps explain. It is not technology per se, but the authoritarian power that the “technocrats” seek to exercise, as well as the fact that technology determines our lives without our being able to intervene or, as yet, control it."
- Jacques Ellul , Perspectives on Our Age (1981)

Agreed he was a remarkable thinker.
oh and Septeus you don't need to post your opinion trashing every part of his videos simply because you don't understand his work. Remember "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all"
