  • They ran out fuel - How can you tell? Just look at the pictures their is no fuel spillage or more noticably (Thank god) FIRE!. The wheel strut punctured the wing, that by it self would have ignited the fuel. The fire fighters were hosing down Hydraulic fluid leaking rather than putting any fires out. They flew in on vapour. Now they trying to find ways to cover it up.

  • my dads a ba engineer and he brought home the crash investigation and it said that there were bits of rubber and seals in the tanks. but very luck!!

  • Yes I watched the air crash investigation. They are the experts but these aircraft with the same engines in the same atmospheric conditions and thrust demands have been there for a while. No one has explained the lack fire (thank God) when clearly the wings were punctured. There would still be a minimum of an hour or even an hour and half of flight time fuel left for diversion or delays.

I am sure the experts are right but must have been miraculous that there was absolute no fire after the tank

  • @Inatsikap The cause was that ice had been clogging up the FOHE in both engines, that made the engines stall!

  • @twyfs002 it did NOT run out of fuel there was a ice build up in a pipe resulting in no fuel supply to the engine

  • A nice video spoilt by that bloody awful crap music

  • Recording results, force will be the same. Regardless ( appologies for split messages)

  • Get an accelerometer (real one not iphone) lay a camera on the ground drop the accelerometer onto both grass and tarmac with camera

  • Its like doing a belly flop from the high dive suddenly the water no longer absorbs most of the impact, laws of physics, the sliding well its hard to say but tarmac would have slid further with less damage but the sparks caused would greatly increase the chance of fuel igniting,

  • The weight of the aircraft falling does the damage, not the sliding, the impact on grass is exactly the same as concrete, the falling aircraft hits the ground which has to stop xtonnes of weight regardless of which material,

  • i mean metal scraping on concrete sorry. typing error
