Emile Claus - Peintre luministe

Peintre belge (1849-1924) , il rompt avec le mouvement impressionniste conventionnel et crée le mouvement du luminisme en fondant le cercle "Vie et Lumière". Son oeuvre prend alors des éclats de lumière, en utilisant juste les couleurs élémentaires et en réfractant, par les recherches de nuances, les couleurs du prismes, il peint la lumière des Flandres et des scènes quotidiennes de la vie rurale.
