William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564; died 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon". His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.

  • Thanks for this but not happy our teacher is making us get notes from all of these parts...

  • Good documentary, very informative and detailed. There are no records of him attending any school and no accounts from classmates or tutors from any school in his area stating him being present at any school, oh, and you can't say 'it is thought he...' in a Biography, it has to be factual. But apart from that, very entertaining! On to part 2!

  • @BadAzzGamer96 ????????????????????????????

  • Anyone who liked this documentary may also like "Will In The World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare." The book was written and published in 2004, nominated for a National Book Award, and is VERY informative about his early life, education, and rise to fame--if his success can be called that.

  • This is where it's at
