  • Um ... here we go again. "Chaplin was not Jewish." Well, he was half-Jewish -- which for Nazi sympathizers (of which there were hundreds of thousands in the US at that time) was ... well... Jewish.

  • Yes, they should have spoken up. But many leaders in both parties and the majority of the American public were against any notion of the U.S, going to war, no matter how dangerous Hitler and the Axis were. The isolationist feeling was strong, and, just like today's media, they weren't going to risk their businesses going against the flow.

  • superman is jewish!!!!????? WTF!!!

  • no wonder there are theories, that pearl harbour was an inside job to make it legitimate to go into war without any anti-nazi speeches/movies by the us-jews. why was the us-government so concerned that us-jews would be blamed by american society? what would be the consequences? would the hollywood-industry and with them the usa have lost a lot of money? what have they else discussed in the secret meeting? was it easier to get bombed than to go into risk of ruining usa-entertainment-industry?

  • The major blot on the history of these moguls was not speaking up sooner about the situation in Germany. What was happening there, afterall, was everything this documentary tells us their families were running from when they came to the US....in the extreme. They should have spoken up sooner and produced films educating the public. After all they had the clout and influence of this vast industry.
